Abraham Maslow proposed his Hierarchy of Needs way back in 1943. Admittedly, so much has changed since then, and although the contents of his original hierarchy are still considered fundamental these days, many people would agree that certain needs have arose and should be acknowledged in Maslow's pyramid. These needs are so essential to survival that they have to be placed way below the bottom of the original hierarchy, indicating that these needs are much more necessary than physiological needs. Care to disagree?
