If you're ‘fast food' regular (no judging here), you surely know the pain of getting home to cold, chewy fries and a lukewarm burger.
The microwave turns the food soggy and there’s no time for the oven (because what would be the point in even getting fast food?) and so often a cold meal must suffice. But one guy has come up with a clever hack to keeping your food warm in the car – though it’ll only work if you’re fancy enough to have heated seats.
Twitter user Eric recently shared two photos of his drive-thru McDonald’s to Twitter. One photo showed his food safely sat on his passenger seat, while another showed his under-seat heating on full-blast. Eric captioned the photos: ‘I hope every person who ever thought I would fail sees this.’ So far, Eric’s tweet has received more than 20,000 retweets and 70,000 likes
Many people have dubbed him a ‘genius’ – and we’d have to agree
If, like myself, you’re not lucky enough to have under-seat heating, fear not. As Metro.UK suggests, you can keep your food warm by placing it on the floor in front of your passenger seat.
“Then, all you need to do is put your heating on full blast, turn your heating control so it hits only your feet, and all heat will go to your food, keeping it nice and hot. Sure, there’s no seatbelt to keep it from falling over (this can be fixed by wedging it between other bags), but you won’t be left with cold, lifeless fries. Just remember to take your drink out and place it in the cup holder. There’s nothing worse than a warm, watery Coke.”
